Terms of service

These terms cover how you may use Quarterturn's Discord bots (Nudge, Spawner Sync, and any other bot we publish), our game Pixel Run, and this website. By adding a bot to a server, using it, or using our other services, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use them. Our privacy policy explains what we do with information and is part of these terms.

Who can use them

• You must be old enough to use Discord under its own rules (13 or older, or the minimum age where you live), and you must follow Discord's Terms of Service, Community Guidelines and Developer Policy.
• To add a bot to a server you must have the right to manage it. If you add a bot for an organisation, you confirm you can accept these terms for it.

Using the bots

• You are in charge of your server. A bot does what your server's settings tell it to. That includes actions such as striking or demoting staff (Nudge) or opening and closing tickets (Spawner Sync). You are responsible for those settings and for the actions the bot takes under them. Tell your staff and members what the bot tracks, and treat them fairly.
• Permissions. Bots only work with the permissions you give them. Some, like Manage Roles, let them change roles. Give a bot only what you are comfortable with, and keep its role placed where you want it.
• Don't misuse them. Don't use a bot to harass or scam anyone, to break the law or Discord's rules, to spam, or to avoid a ban. Don't try to break, overload, reverse-engineer or copy a bot, or to access data that isn't yours. Don't use the shared scammer list to make false accusations.
• No guarantees about people. Activity counts, strikes, vouches and scam reports are tools to help you run a server. They are not statements of fact by us about any person.

Spawner Sync specifics

• Spawner Sync is a tool for running a trading shop and keeping a price board. We are not a party to any trade. We are not responsible for what happens between traders, for losses, scams or disputes, or for items or currency in any game.
• Prices on a board are set by the people who run it. Estimated values and renders are estimates only.
• Some features, such as Premium, are paid. The price is shown before you pay and Premium applies to the server it was bought for. Nothing here limits any right to a refund you have under law, including under the Australian Consumer Law.

Pixel Run and this website

Pixel Run is free to play for now. You may play it for your own enjoyment. Don't copy, resell, hack or extract the game's art, music or code. If we add ads or purchases, the rules for them will be shown in the game first.

Not affiliated

Quarterturn is independent. We are not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Discord, Mojang, Microsoft, or DonutSMP. Names and logos belong to their owners.

Our work and your content

We own our bots, game and site, including their code, art and names. You own what you put into them. By using a bot you let us store and process that content, only to run the bot as described in the privacy policy.

Availability and changes

The bots and the game are provided free unless we say otherwise, and "as is". They may go down, have bugs, or change. We may add, change or remove features, and we may stop a bot altogether. We'll try to give notice of anything big.

Ending things

You can stop at any time by removing the bot from your server. We may remove a bot's access to a server, or block a person or server from our services, if these terms, Discord's rules, or the law are broken, or if it protects other people or our service. Sections that should survive ending (such as the disclaimers below) do.

Disclaimers and limits

To the extent the law allows, we don't promise that our services will be uninterrupted, error-free or fit for your purpose, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, lost profits, lost data, or anything that happens because a bot did what your settings told it to. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the last 12 months, or AUD $50 if you paid nothing. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under law that can't be excluded, including under the Australian Consumer Law, or our liability for anything that can't be limited by law.

Changes to these terms

If we change these terms, we'll change the date above and, for anything important, tell server owners through the bot or in our support server. Using a bot after a change means you accept it.

Law

These terms are governed by the laws of Australia, and any dispute will be dealt with in its courts, unless the law where you live says otherwise.
